“Near the forfront of the next generation of parenting tools...Red Tricycle is not your mother's parenting aide. Readers are razr-phone-toting, book-club-joining moms who at least know what a blackberry is."

Stuck on You

Peanut Butter and Lili isn't your typical children's store -- the dark walls and concrete floor appeal to grown-ups (and kids?) who favor a modern aesthetic. Owner Jacque Bonenko opened the cool Snoqualmie storefront in November to compliment her existing web business. In her new showroom, you can see (and feel!) the complete line of Serena & Lily's children's bedding (a new addition to their wildly popular crib bedding) and sit in a cozy Jennifer Delonge Ava chair. It's also the only place locally we've been able to find the much-sought-after NooNoo comfort blankets, the hottest UK import since Jude Law landed on US soil.

Much of the showroom is filled with children's clothes (think Petit Bateau, Tea Collection as well as a large selection of special occasion dresses), but they also carry staples like Avent bottles, Bjorn carriers and Swaddle Design blankets and a large selection of designer diaper bags, making it a convenient one-stop shop for baby registries. (hint, hint).

Despite the decidedly Dwell-like decor, the store is kid-friendly, with a train table and scattered Scandinavian toys to keep the little ones occupied (there's also a toddler park a few blocks away), while you peruse the trendy accessories and funky gift items. We love the Oopsy Daisy Cowboy Artwork, Minimink booties and Belli skincare products. A glass of milk is all we need to wash down this big gulp of Yum.

P.S. Bonenko donates all unsold merchandise to Life 2 Orphans , a charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of orphan lives in Ukraine, where her daughter's life began.
